Faith Formation Program for Children

The Confraternity of Christian Doctrine is commonly referred to by its abbreviation, CCD, or simply as "Catechism", and provides religious education to Catholic children attending secular schools.

OUR CATECHETICAL DEPARTMENT

The Catechetical department of St Teresa of Calcutta provides faith formation classes for all the children from the age 4- 17 on Sundays. For the Sunday School faith formation program, the Syro Malabar Synodal Commission for Catechesis has prepared a textbook series, On the Path of Salvation, from Pre-K to XII grades. Our teaching staff consists of 26 Teachers and 205 students enrolled for the program.

Dei Verbum Bible Quiz 2026- Brochure Link

This year, the Bible Quiz will be conducted in three rounds. As a special event on the 25th Jubilee of our Diocese, the final quiz will be conducted on-stage at Cathedral church, Chicago.

The adult and senior citizen group can choose either the English or Malayalam version of the quiz. The English quiz is based on the New American Bible, Revised Edition (NABRE) whereas the Malayalam quiz is based on the POC
