Ward Based Competitions

Antakshari

• There will be only one entry from each ward.

• A team will consist of two members.

• The total time of the competition would be approximately two hours.

• There will be multiple rounds, each with a different mode.

• These modes will be declared only at the time of the game.

• Only Malayalam songs from Malayalam movies are allowed.

• In case of a tie, there will be the sixth round.

• If a team cannot answer the question during a non-passing round, audience members from the same ward can answer and earn points for their team.

Play-Doh Modeling

• There will be only one entry from each ward.

• A team will consist of 3 members.

• Bring your own Play-Doh. Air dry clay and other moulding materials are not allowed

• Toothpicks can be used to support the structure, but they should be completely covered by PlayDoh

• No other support material can be used. 

• No paint can be used

• Topic : The Last Supper

• Size: 15 inch X 10 inch

• 2 hours duration

General Rules

• All participants have to be registered STM members.

• The competition for each event/category will be held only if there is a minimum of 3 participants.

• For competitions, an individual can participate in a maximum of 4 competitions only.

• It's the responsibility of the participant to identify the respective room and report on time for the scheduled competition.

• Participants must report 15 minutes before the competition starts. Those that are not present when the competition starts will be disqualified.

• If you decide to withdraw your participation, please inform Joseph / Jincy @ missionday@stteresasyromalabar.org

• Once the name has been listed and registration date is closed, no substitution is allowed.

• Decisions of the judges are final. Please approach the Ekklesia team for any disputes and refrain from arguing with the judges.

• Results will be announced on October 21st, 2023, and prizes will be distributed on October 28th during the Mission Day festivities.

Individual Competition

English / Malayalam Singing Rules

• Songs have to be appropriate for a church and family environment. Inappropriate songs will be disqualified at the discretion of the Ekklesia team. This includes vulgar lyrics, insinuations, and other suggestive language.

• Karaoke and other musical accompaniments are not permitted.

• No props to be included.

• Limit song length to under 2 mins 30 secs.

Coloring / Drawing Rules

• No liquid mediums (like water color or acrylic paints)

• Water color pens are allowed

• Total duration is 45 mins.

• Only participants are allowed in the competition hall.

• For TK to 3rd Grade

  • Bring your own coloring items

  • A print out of the picture will be provided

• For Grade 4 to 12

  • Participants have to bring their own art supplies including Pencil, eraser and other painting materials.

  • Drawing Sheet will be provided by the organizers.

  • A theme will be announced 15 mins prior to the competition.

English Speech Competition

• Length of the speech: Max 3 minutes

• Grade 1/2/3: My Favorite Saint is

• Grade 4/5/6: Role of Prayer in daily life

• Grade 7/8/9: Is regular social media usage damaging to real-life interactions?

• Adults: Take time to rest and enjoy God

Spelling Bee

• There will be a written elimination round for groups with more than 15 participants.

• Words will include verbs, adverbs, adjectives and nouns in the English language.

• Words will not be distributed in advance.

• Decision of the judges and core team is final and binding.
